Memorial Donations

Gifts in memory of a loved one create a lasting tribute and provide current and future support for the Mary Lee Foundation. Families are notified of gifts made in memory, and you receive a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution.

Planned Giving

Charitable Gift Annuities

Mary Lee Foundation encourages its donors to name the organization as a remainder beneficiary of a charitable gift annuity and will work with its donors to structure such agreements. However, Mary Lee Foundation will not serve as trustee of a charitable gift annuity and will instead encourage the donor to use a professional fiduciary.

Charitable Remainder Trusts

Mary Lee Foundation encourages its donors to name the organization as a remainder beneficiary of a charitable remainder trust and will work with its donors to structure such agreements. However, Mary Lee Foundation will not serve as trustee of a charitable remainder trust and will instead encourage the donor to use a professional fiduciary.

Revocable Trust Agreements

Mary Lee Foundation encourages its donors to name the organization as a beneficiary of all or a portion of a revocable trust agreement. However, Mary Lee Foundation will not serve as trustee of a revocable trust agreement and will instead encourage the donor to use a professional fiduciary.

Charitable Lead Trusts

Mary Lee Foundation may accept a designation as income beneficiary of a charitable lead trust. Mary Lee Foundation will not accept an appointment as Trustee of a charitable lead trust.

Retirement Plan Beneficiary Designations

Donors and supporters of Mary Lee Foundation will be encouraged to name Mary Lee Foundation as beneficiary of their retirement plans. Such designations will not be recorded as gifts to Mary Lee Foundation until such time as the gift is irrevocable.

Bequests

Donors and supporters of Mary Lee Foundation will be encouraged to make bequests to Mary Lee Foundation under their wills and trusts. Such bequests will not be recorded as gifts to Mary Lee Foundation until such time as the gift is irrevocable.

To leave a gift in your will, simply share this sentence with your attorney or financial planner:

“I bequeath $_____ or _____% of my estate to the Mary Lee Foundation, 1339 Lamar Square Drive, Austin, TX 78704.”

Life Insurance Beneficiary Designations

Donors and supporters of Mary Lee Foundation will be encouraged to name Mary Lee Foundation as beneficiary or contingent beneficiary of their life insurance policies.  Such designations shall not be recorded as gifts to Mary Lee Foundation until such time as the gift is irrevocable.
