A big “Thank You” to the more than 90 volunteers who turned out for the 2018 Martin Luther King Day of Service at the Mary Lee Foundation’s Southpointe program, which offers every level of care for adults with intellectual disabilities. The volunteers worked to spruce up the grounds, painting, raking leaves and tending to the gardens, also making improvements to the inside of the common areas, assembling furniture, deep cleaning the kitchens and re-organizing the food pantries.
In addition to the improvements made to Southpointe on the square, volunteers traveled to five group homes in Austin managed by the Southpointe program and MLF.
